Soldier held over sex video case

A seventh soldier has been arrested over allegations a teenage girl was smuggled onto an army base and then filmed having sex with troops.

The incident, involving a 15-year-old girl, is alleged to have happened at Bourlon Barracks at Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, on 31 March.

The 19-year-old soldier is being questioned by detectives.

Six other soldiers, aged between 17 and 28, have been arrested and released on bail over the allegations.

North Yorkshire Police are investigating with the Royal Military Police's Special Investigation Branch.

Police confirmed video footage had been handed to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) by a national newspaper.

North Yorkshire Police were then made aware.
