Wewant2no2,
I looked and a lot of those are related to the Mt. St. Helens activity. I'm hoping a big one is not on the way, but I know there is a lot of activity.

I'm originally from New Mexico and we averaged two to three a day that were small and unnoticable. I have read that the more small earthquakes you have the better, since it indicates that pressure is being relieved slowly. It's when there's a lack of small earthquakes that you need to start worrying, meaning that pressure is building up between the plates and my come as a larger or catastrophic quake.

Thanks for passing the info.

I am not far from the submarine trench in the Caribbean Sea. 1 earthquake MAGNITUDE 6.8 DEC. 14th. Then another one a few weeks ago but only about Magnitude 4.8. With in the last 30 days a few of the Caribbean Islands have had quite a lot of trimmers, all with in a 200 mile area. Scienctist say the plates have shifted on this end too! And now small trimmers. It was the strongest tremor to hit this area since 1900. Thank God know one was hurt.

Cal. Alaska, and Mount St. Helen is trimming quite a lot since the big hit in Asia last month. Australia said a quake, measuring 8.1 hit on the 24th Dec. That was a big one too. No reports of anyone hurt.

The scary thing about all this is: Scientists are saying now the earth is shaking on it axis.

So will the planet be the same again after few weeks? The answer by scientists is No. The earthquake has left its permanent deep impression on Earth. It has changed maps and has probably changed the rotation speed of Earth too!.

Geophysicists are saying that the quake caused Earth to wobble on its axis and has permanently altered the map of Asia by shifting some small islands up to 20m.

NASA's Laboratory in California, says that a shift of mass towards the Earth's center during the quake is causing the planet to spin at least by three millionths of a second faster and has made the planet to tilt about 2.5 cm on its axis.

It is hard to say if anything has ever happened like this before" being the the equipment we use to measure things like this hasn't been around to many years. I wonder what's next? Anyway scary stuff.
