Aid can be sent in the form of materials such as food & water.

I've heard of only 1 guy being beheaded in pakistan and that was daniel perl.

rat_clock, of course we should help!!!!! That is ridiculous to say that we should refuse to help thousands upon thousands of innocents just there might be some idiots running around. We have a PLENTY of idiots in the USA, but we still help people when there is a catastrophy!!!!!

at times i really disbeleive that you are a Muslim doesnt matter what religion we follow all religions teach mercy and charity regardless of political or religious beleifs there are many thousands of children suffering and dying as a result of the earthquake bloodymurda is it okay for us to let them just die because they are muslim children is that what Religion and Faith in almighty God means I THINK NOT

Are you inferring that US only helps their allies?? Is Iran an ally of the United states? Incase you people were unaware when that earthquake hit Bam Iran, us immediately sent aid......and the total estimate in the end was:

TOTAL USG EARTHQUAKE ASSISTANCE TO IRAN $5,714,930

Fact of the matter is when the US is in a position to help anyone in a disaster they do. Wether or not you think it's purely symbolic makes no difference at all. When people are desperate for help the US always seems to step up when countless others look the other way.
