Strong political crisis continues in Pakistan

Post by Hadenamadjid »

JHELUM - Pakistan Muslim League-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif has asked people to get ready for offering sacrifices for a revolution in the country.

Addressing a charged rally here on Monday, Nawaz said time had come that the people should come on streets to change their destiny. He asked the people to take part in the long march of lawyers, if they wanted to change their fate.

The PML-N Quaid said the people were facing a grim situation, because they had not learnt to rise up against the system. He said the PML-N would not go nation’s sacrifices unnoticed.

He said his party would fight a war against the prevailing system and high-handedness of the government. He expressed the hope the PML-N would again form government in Punjab. He said the society was facing unrest, turmoil and anxiety because of the wrong and inconsistent policies of the previous and incumbent governments. Hinting at conspiracies hatched against democracy in the country, Nawaz hoped that the people would foil every such attempt. He pledged to fulfil all the promises he made, once his party came to power.

Nawaz said how could the people of Pakistan support President Asif Ali Zardari when his own party did not support his actions. He asked policemen present in the rally not to abide by any illegal and unconstitutional orders from the government. He said even a number of PPP leaders had admitted that the court decision against him and Shahbaz Sharif was wrong.

He said he had shaken hands with Zardari with sincerity and greater hopes, but he backstabbed and ditched them and the nation. “The country was on its way to prosperity in 1999 due to the massive public mandate given to his party. But the progress was halted by a dictator,” Nawaz said.
