Street battle erupts in western Iraqi city of Ramadi

Post by Hekmatyar »

Whats a SUV and how many persons can it carry ?

FALLUJAH, Iraq, March 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Street battles broke out Monday between US troops and militants in the center of the western Iraqi city of Ramadi, witnesses said.

"Powerful explosions and heavy gunfire resonated throughout the city as fighters and US soldiers used different weapons in the fierce street battles that lasted several hours," local residents told Xinhua.

The US troops blocked the roads leading to the city, and imposedban on the vehicles movement in the city, some 110 km west of Baghdad, they said.

In addition, a roadside bomb hit an American SUV, commonly used by foreign contractors, near Fallujah on Sunday night, killing all occupants and destroying the vehicle, Xinhua correspondent said.

The attack took place on a road north of Fallujah, some 50 km west of Baghdad. Enditem

'Security contractors' are mercenaries, retired soldiers from us, british or other invaders' armies. So they are basically all the same. Good riddance!

too bad this is in the wrong damn section

Now what I want to see is the video of the 26 insurgents mowed the fuck down yesterday. That'd be a good one to watch. I'd Imagine a big attack like that was probably filmed...but since most of them are dead now it probably wont see the light of day....too bad

Two or three seconds? get real man....reports said the fight lasted over an hour.....the report I read said 50 insurgents were involved....half from a canal the others from a palm grove.....they attacked a convoy and the US forces pounced on them and fucked them up royally. 26 dead...7 injured. If you dont believe that's true then explain to me how every news agency there reported it as fact and not hearsay? All the news agency's also report that After the battle, U.S. troops recovered six rocket-propelled grenade launchers, 16 rockets, 13 machine guns, 22 assault rifles, more than 2,900 bullets and 40 hand grenades.

guess they made that up too eh? what co-ordination between fictional sources right?
